Pet Memorial

Loa Loa has been there since I was born. My big, sweet, fluffy yellow Labrador Retriever loved people and was very protective. As I got older, this gentle giant stole my heart. There are so many things I remember daily about Loa. Her favorite things were swimming and playing with tennis balls. I remember our fun times and walks. She was a leader. Her love and companionship filled my life and our home! Loa’s life is a wonderful example of the human-animal bond. I knew that I would miss my loving, loyal friend, I didn’t expect the special joy we shared would one day have to end. There will always be a void in me left by my heart. Here’s a special poem for my Loa. You no longer greet me as I walk through the door. You’re not there to make me smile, to make me laugh anymore. Life seems quiet without you; you were far more than a pet. You were a family member, a friend . . . a loving soul I’ll never forget. It will take time to heal – for the silence to go away. I still listen for you, and miss you every day. You were such a great companion, constant, loyal and true. My heart will always wear, the paw prints left by you. Katie Blair
