Althea joined the Heaven’s Pets team in November of 2012 after over 25 years of executive administrative experience in the corporate arena. Althea’s love affair with animals began as a child and has continued into her adult life. Believing that there is a profound need for Heaven’s Pets services, she thoroughly enjoys speaking with pet owners and advising them in their decisions. “Our beloved pets are our children and are a major part of our family. They provide love, comfort and companionship to our lives and ask for nothing in return. Losing a beloved pet is a devastating experience and I enjoy the interaction with the family hoping that I can help them in some way to handle their profound loss.”

Althea is the only PLPA Certified Pet Loss and Grief Companion Specialist in Louisiana. Althea resides in Metairie with her husband, Stephen, and their adopted Tuxedo cat named Lil Guy. Althea wants to remember their Maine Coon Cat, BC, who crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, January 19, 2026. “Always in our hearts, never to be forgotten.”
