Mark came to New Orleans in December of 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. He shucked oysters for a year while getting recertified as an Emergency Medical Technician. While working for Acadian Abulance he experienced his first hurricane when Gustov hit in 2008. His kindness and compassion has been shared with many and he joined our team in the fall of 2014 while working concurrently at the Care and Cremation Center at Lakelawn Metairie. H has cared for ferrets, chickens, snakes, and many cats and dogs over the years, and brings his love of animals to work with him every day. When not at work, he enjoys woodworking , ham radio, and spending time with his family, a sweet brindle pit-lab mix named Penny, and his two beautiful cats, Abby and Zoot.
